The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear 🎶

Primary 1 superstar alert 🌟! O imagined, wrote and illustrated this comic strip all by herself 😊 We are all so very proud and amazed by your achievement.
@carronshoreps
“Uninterrupted play has endless benefits. We should do less, sit back, observe and let the lightbulb moments and real learning take place”. Uninterrupted play resulted in our girls creating a jewellery store yesterday. We are always amazed by our P1s creativity

Great to work with our cluster high school
@LarbertHigh
to provide work experience for students. The Primary 1 children loved meeting Miss Carling today and look forward to seeing more of her. They were excited to show her how a playdoh disco works
@earlyyearsemily
Primary 1 had a fantastic day at the safari park🦏🦓🐅🦒. It was lovely to see everyone having fun and smiling. Miss Brand and Miss Grant are very proud of how well the boys and girls listened, behaved and represented the school. What a credit to Carronshore Primary they are 🌟
Z is destined for the stage. She asked if she could practise her audition songs. Don’t think she was expecting such a large audience but the crowd loved her! Such a talented girl. 🎤🎼
I wonder what we have started practising on the stage? If you haven’t bought tickets already then please return the yellow letters in your child’s bag (P1-3) 🙊🎄
Thank you to everyone for your kind and generous support with our P1 Enterprise at the Christmas Fayre and Nativity. We managed to raise an amazing £295 to spend on new play activities and resources 🌟😀
Today we went outside with Mrs Leonard on a senses walk. We worked with a partner to identify things we could see and hear. We then split into groups to discuss our findings and play some games🌿🍃 ...”I spy with my little eye”
We had lots of fun playing with our friends today 😊🌟 we built houses with the blocks, made patterns with the peg boards, made models with the construction toys and played with the dolls house
We LOVE Encanto!! We changed our dolls house into the house from Encanto to follow the children’s interests! The children were so excited and loved playing in this area yesterday!⭐️🏠
Safari park fun today. Miss Grant and Miss Brand had the best time with P1 and are super proud of how well everyone represented Carronshore PS 😊. Well done boys and girls! You were superstars 🌟
We embarked on our play-based adventure in August 2017 and what an incredible journey it has been. It has been an absolute privilege to teach, work and learn with such a wonderful group of children. We are very lucky teachers. We are so proud of everything they have achieved⭐️
Our stall is set up and ready to go for tomorrow morning at 10am. Please come and help support us in raising money to buy new play activities 😀

We then went to the boardroom and designed a label for our very own bottle of soap
@scottishsoaps
🧼. We loved designing our labels and were even treated to some cakes, crisps and flavoured water. Thank you
@scottishsoaps
for being so welcoming and making our day so enjoyable!
Miss Brand, Miss Grant,
@MrsMortimer15
and Miss Donald are busy spending their Saturday learning how to further develop play based learning within CPS. We are very excited to hear from other schools and authorities 😊

We all enjoyed listening to “The Saddest Robin Brown”... a story written and illustrated by our very own T (with some help from Dad 😊) What fantastic ideas T 📚. Future author/illustrator in the making. Thank you for sharing your fabtastic story with us. Well done!
We tasted some Scottish food and drink this afternoon. We tried oatcakes, cheese, haggis, shortbread, tablet and Irn-Bru 🏴 Haggis and Irn-Bru were big hits!
We received a postcard on Monday from Katie Morag. She told us our new topic was going to be learning all about Scotland. We talked about what Scotland is famous for.
Z wanted to show off some of her highland dancing to the class. Think we will see her on the big stage one day.
P1 - we worked in small groups to develop our fine motor skills today ✏️. We carefully traced over the dotted lines using whiteboard pens. Ask us about ‘crocodile snap’ 🐊
We’ve had an invasion of rockstars in P1 this morning. The boys and girls worked together to build a set for “Mini Queen” to perform their number one song. They used their imagination to make instruments and even brought their megaphone 🎤🥁🎸
It started with J rolling a cylinder shaped block and led to a bowling alley with a score board and a sign in desk. It was amazing to see how it developed and that more children got involved and shared their ideas!
This afternoon some Primary 1 children learned all about water safety and what the
@RNLI
do to help us. They listened so well and we made up some actions to help us remember the 4 safety rules! Ask us to tell you them! 🛟
The talent oozes out of this girl! She asked if she could share a song she’s recently been learning. The class were in awe once more of what this girl is capable of! 🌟🌟
We practised our formation of ‘a’ and then tried some speed writing. We had to write the letter ‘a’ as many times as we could against the timer. Practise writing ‘a’ at home 🏡 Remember we always start at the top ... round, up, down and a flick that will do the trick. ✍️
As part of our child-led topic the girls decided they wanted to sew some sea creatures 🐙🐠 . They drew their design and then used felt, stuffing, material, buttons and pens to create their final design 🧵 🪡

@carronshoreps
Please support our school by coming along to the Christmas Fayre tonight 6-8pm. Our P1’s have been busy making beautiful things to sell to help raise funds to buy new play resources. We need your help!! 🎄
It was great to visit
@CarronshoreNur
today and drop off Bonnie and Buddy. These girls noticed that Buddy’s nose needed some fixing. They quickly got their needle and thread out to sort it. We are excited to hear how the bears get on visiting our new Primary 1’s in nursery.
Lots of busy independent learners this morning at the target table, red zone and blue zone 😀. Some of us decided to have a little play before we completed our daily tasks.

Today we split into our star groups 😊. Each group worked with the teacher in the Butterfly room to develop pencil control and grip. We all worked very hard! Well done P1
We enjoyed learning outdoors today as part of outdoor classroom day 🌿. We used chalk to write our spelling words, took our drama lesson outdoors and played maths games on the grass!

Today we learned all about the lungs. We learned why our lungs are important and how they work. We then made our own paper bag lungs. Ask us some facts ...
