Fun little graph of the actual high temperature versus the historical average at SeaTac over the last three months of 2021. Fun to see those lasting patterns, especially the Arctic blast that broke the scale and forced me to adjust the axes! Quite the memorable close to the year!

College without college football would mean little to no budget for other sports for a vast majority of universities which would mean doors slammed shut on a lot of student athletes. There’s a lot wrong with this perspective, but that’s a start. Eliminating football is absurd.

in Del Norte County, and it’s clear why this is the nation’s highest priority fire. Red dots = past 6-12 hrs, orange = past 12-24. This is an extremely active and dynamic fire.

We’ve seen graupel off and on throughout the day in downtown Redding— so what exactly is it? It may look like hail, but it’s soft because it’s snow that has melted and re-frozen as it falls. Temperatures remain well above 32°, so any sticking/accumulation doesn’t last.
