Workers flipping burgers pay taxes on every dollar they earn, while those flipping stocks are taxed on only half of their income. Does this seem fair to you? . Today, @cafreeland tabled a motion that will raise tax fairness by making changes to capital gains taxation. #cdnpoli.

With this vote Poilievre has shown he believes that an ordinary worker flipping burgers for a living should be taxed on 100% of their income while his CEO friends making millions from flipping stocks should be taxed only on half of their income.

We cannot and will not accept 1000s of workers dying and hundreds of thousands being injured and made sick every year as a result of their jobs. Health and safety should be a #1 priority. #DoM2022 #canlab #cdnpoli .

Labour was there when the NDP was founded and we’ve stood and fought together for every inch of progress. I’m looking forward to being with you this weekend to continue this important partnership. #CanLab.

Conservatives have proven time & time again that they stand against workers & their unions. Cuts, culture wars & chaos? No thanks. Read my full statement ⬇️.

@erinotoole Mr. O’Toole, your record is clear. You proposed letting companies walk away from pension obligations and #CPC stood in the way of putting workers at the head of the line. How can workers trust you now to stand up to your Bay St. friends? #Elxn44 #canlab.

The Higgs Consevatives’ campaign of division, cuts to public services and attacks on workers was resoundingly defeated by the voters in NB last night. Voters in Saskatchewan, you have the next opportunity to do the same!.

Yesterday, the @BankofCanada & its governor Tiff Macklem slammed Canadians with the 9th interest rate hike since January 2022. These rate hikes are an attack on working people. We will fight back. 🧵 1/

I was very happy to have met with @theJagmeetSingh to discuss the @NDP’s commitments for workers and their families. Recently, the party introduced a detailed jobs plan that will help get people back to work. #canlab #cdnpoli Workers deserve good jobs, this plan delivers.

Glad to see this progress thanks to the @NDP and the federal government. Now let's get the Sustainable Jobs Act over the finish line – workers are paying close attention. #C50.

We lost a true political giant, Alexa McDonough today. Canada’s unions extend sincere condolences. We're grateful for her advocacy on workers’ rights & safer working conditions. Her work on Westray Bill continues to benefit workers. #cdnpoli #canlab

Grocery CEOs line their pockets with record profits while the rest of us pay the price. MPs should look into food price gouging. We must better protect consumers and make greedy companies pay their fair share. #Greedflation #CanLab #CdnPoli.
