Mike Lugo was sorn in as the Williamson County Fire Marshal for a two-year term. Lugo has 22 years of experience leading high-impacting fire and EMS program initiatives, most recently in League City, Texas. Welcome, Mike!

A winter precipitation event is likely Monday night into Tuesday morning, with a snow sleet mix mainly north of I-10, and mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow south of I-10. There are increasing odds for moderate travel impacts and a Winter Storm Watch has been issued.

At the end of 2024, WCEMS said goodbye to Field Paramedic Chad Richter after 27 years of service and countless lives saved. Chad served many roles in our department over the years and his skills as a paramedic were exceptional and he will be missed. Enjoy ranching and retirement!
