We thank our customers for their community spirit and patience – it’s tough to be without power. Many have recognised the magnitude of the restoration effort and our lineys have felt the warmth of your support as they restore power to homes and businesses ❤️
Hardest hit areas include Geelong and the Surf Coast, Ballarat, Maryborough and the western suburbs of Melbourne. If you see a fallen powerline, stay more than 10 meters away from them and report them to us immediately on 13 24 12. Image from Werribee.

@BOM_Vic
has issued a severe

warning for parts of
#Victoria
, including our network area. Stay safe, damaging winds are likely along with thunderstorms. This is what lightning did to one of our poles near Colac on Friday! Incredible to see the power in a strike ⚡⚡
This wild weather is causing some outages across our network, particularly Charlton, Barwon Heads and Colac areas. Rest assured our crews are out there and working as safely and as quickly as possible to get power restored. Thanks for your patience and support 🙏
Our REFCL program is being rolled out in bushfire prone areas across the state. While preventing blazes is the main aim, it's also proved life saving to an excavator operator near Maryborough:

Major reconstruction of the power network in the
#Woodend

#Trentham
,
#Kyneton
and

region is continuing, with our crews focused on restoring power to the remaining 3,000 homes and businesses still off supply. (1/6)

Our crews are wrapping up work on a levee, with sandbagging and pumps ready to go. If significant flood water reaches either substation, it could pose a serious safety risk, and customers could be without power for an extended period.
#vicfloods
Restoration efforts continue and we currently have 7,000 customers off supply. All feeder work is to be completed today which will lead to most customers back on supply today. You can get up to date info via our outage map:
We have reports of fallen

Incoming shout out alert 🎤🎤🎤
Thanks to the outstanding work of our crews and support teams, power has now been restored to more than 187,000 customers following last Friday’s storm. (1/3)
(3/4) For customers affected by outages, we thank you for your patience over the past few days. We often say that our network has the best and most resilient customers, and you've proven us right yet again. 👏👏
Some of the damage to our network. Crews are continuing to assess and work as safely and as quickly to get power back on. There is major damage from storms, strong winds and lightning.
1/2 Severe storms ⛈️⛈️ and thousands of lightning strikes 🌩️🌩️ have impacted power to almost 15,000 customers across our network.
In the 3 hours between 3pm and 6pm there were more than 9,000 lightning strikes within a 200km radius of Bendigo 😲😲
🚨ALERT: Tomorrow's combination of an unusual south-easterly wind direction and also wet conditions on the ground do mean that damage to trees is more likely, leading to potential power outages. We’re asking customers to take precautions now.
We know chainsaws are out in force as part of the storm clean up. As we continue to repair fallen
#powerlines
in affected areas, we’d like to remind customers to not cut or remove any trees located close to these powerlines and stay at least 8 – 10m away.
#safetyfirst
#vicstorms
(2/4) To restore power to over 5,900 properties, we had to re-route customers to other parts of the network and build new sections of infrastructure to bring supply across from neighbouring zone substations.
(1/3) At approximately 4:00PM this afternoon, we restored power to the general
#Blackwood
and surrounding communities. We'll still have crews on the ground completing secondary repairs and safety tests to homes and installations before reconnecting power to localised areas.
