To close Shabbos,
@elliotsteinmetz
: “4 years ago, I was the one telling our guys to keep their spirits up, to enjoy Shabbos…this time, I was the one who had the hardest time, & it was the guys who were coming over to me, telling me to keep my spirits up & enjoy Shabbos.”

I’m Jacob Steinmetz, 2 years ago I was playing in the Yeshiva League and I just struck out 3 dudes in an All-Star-loaded lineup in 1.2 innings and gave up only 1 earned run 🤷🏻♂️
After the game, 7 Hopkins players—including Sykes, Thybulle, and Bulmash—as well as Coach Loeffler came over to myself and others from the MacsLive team and gave us kudos for our broadcast work this season.
Johns Hopkins is a very classy group. Much luck to them going forward.
OMG
Guilford comes back from 16 down with 4.5 minutes to go and stuns Hampden-Sydney—this might get Guilford into the

tournament even if they lose to reigning champs Randolph-Macon tomorrow. Jorden Davis with the winner.
I've just been offered (and accepted) a spot on the
#d3hoops
Top 25 voting panel; I'll continue posting my thoughts and analysis here, on d3boards, and on just as before, although I'll also post more tweets about which games I'm watching on a daily basis.
Thursday’s game against Illinois Wesleyan was the most watched MacsLive broadcast of all time in terms of both max viewers and unique viewers, exceeding the previous record, held by the 2019-20 Skyline Conference Championship Game.

Breaking: Sources tell me that Ofek Reef has signed with Hapoel Akko, member of Liga Artzit/Israel’s D3, thereby foregoing his remaining collegiate eligibility.

What is more important than the final result on the floor, is that Illinois Wesleyan has a group of classy gentlemen who will be very successful after their basketball careers end. Nothing to hang one’s head about. Tremendous team.
Ryan Turell & family celebrated the Macs’ win and Ryan’s passing Yossy Gev for the number one spot on the Yeshiva all-time scoring list with a postgame dinner at Burgers & Grill highlighted by cake sponsored by the Melool family!

Oh boy.
Wheaton wins 72-71 after Cruickshank hits 2/3 free throws after being fouled on a desperation 3-pointer.
I have no clue what the ref is looking at here. Where’s the foul?

Beautiful halftime tribute by
@CBSSportsCBB
@MarchMadnessMBB
to legendary Hall of Fame Director Bob Fishman in his final game. Bob voluntarily mentored the MacsLive team over the last 15 months and we would not be where we are today without him.

Evening & Weekend Athletics Coordinator, Dave Amoriello and the Stockton team for being so accommodating this weekend. We brought in our equipment at 10am on Thursday and took it out on Saturday…
Game-saving block from Ethan Anderson, and La Crosse gets a big road win @ Eau Claire, 68-66.
Could have been called a charge on the drive too—interesting no-call.

I’ve seen a lot of praise on social media today for Effy—same pattern as Zevi.
He played great today.
He’s a freshman.
He’s played 30 minutes in his collegiate career.
Please just let these kids be kids for one minute before crowning them legends.
Please.
That’s the tweet.

Coach Schauer and Coach K each give their perspectives on CNU’s switching high ball screens and Wheaton getting buckets off slips to the bucket, a major factor in the Thunder’s second half comeback.

Michael Natkin (Magen David ‘19) appears to be a late addition to Yeshiva’s roster.
The Macs will return 6 players from the 21-22 team and have 11 new faces.
#d3hoops
The Macs have scored 247 points so far this season.
All but 4 of those points have come from players in their first or second years of eligibility.
98.4% from guys with 3 or more years left (including this season).
