@falrensenpai If you are a skilled and serious player who has completed the DLC dex's and can complete tera raids at high difficulty levels. It is sub 24hrs of lost practice time, which is not going to be relevant to tournament performance.

@falrensenpai Since trading exists even completely ethical actors who care about their team not being genned could end up with genned pokemon on their teams in compet due to trading. So the kurt reports don't necessarily indicate to me someone is compromised if it is just 1 mon, 1 time.

@falrensenpai This reframing is disingenuous because it assumes all top players are genning and they likely aren't and if not the players with results then who's opinion do we take on the integrity of the game? No one is more qualified to speak on that then they are, not even the organizers.

@falrensenpai It leads to 1/2 of a day of more training time assuming you as a player have done all you can to minimize the amount of time it requires you to create your competitive team.

@falrensenpai I have played both as well, and I would say if anything the showdown player gets an advantage from removing himself from the general player base and interacting with people who will largely have a more competitive mindset.

@falrensenpai Because if every skilled player with the results to back that up doesn't treat it as a serious issue affecting the integrity of the game then it probably isn't a serious issue affecting the integrity of the game. Anyone can start genning within a week, it won't result in wins.

@falrensenpai You are never losing even a day to the creation of a competitive team assuming you are being efficient in your team-building and you have been dutiful in the filling of your dex. Half a days worth of practice matches are not significant to your success in tournament.

@falrensenpai "A genner can only be matched by a genner" just isn't true in the context of tournament play. You get the 6 you bring with you and that is it. The capacity to make infinite stops mattering at all once those six are locked in.
