We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Edna O'Brien, a beacon in Irish literature whose voice resonated with truth, courage, and unyielding passion. Her contributions to the literary world have left an indelible mark, inspiring generations of writers & poets.
Gerald Dawe (known to us as Gerry) edited PIR 137. His editorial seems even more relevant in today’s troubled world. Gerry was a valued contributor to Poetry Ireland Review including with this poem, ‘Straws in the Wind’ in PIR 26 from 1989
