@EalingCouncil Neither the article nor the post contain the days and opening times for the YAC and contact information, so it seems like young people are expected to rock up and hope that it is open. I spoke to a couple of teenagers who knew nothing about the reopening. #Southall

Good news! The worn and damaged wickets in #Southall Rec were replaced in Jan 2025 by Ealing Council. It shouldn't have taken over two years of campaigning by a local resident for the council to do the right thing, to minimise the risk of serious injury to aspiring cricketers.

For months residents have been discussing fly-tipping in #Southall. The council's Envirocrime Enforcement Team needs to FINE and PROSECUTE the culprits. Get on with the job and don't waste time asking for solutions when Mary Creagh MP divulged that the council can prosecute more.

@deirdrecostigan A play space for 0-5 year olds at the Merrick Place development in #Southall seems tokenistic as though 5-17 year olds are no longer children. The high rise developments around the station and insufficient amenities will disadvantage those who need more than a dormitory town.
