NASA astro nerd dreams really do come true. So honored to be leading an amazing team as we enter Phase A development of the NASA Landolt mission.
We're sending a star into space! @GeorgeMasonU is the home of the $19.5 million Landolt Space Mission that will put an artificial "star" in orbit around the Earth. Read more:

In order to get a prescription to Lilly direct, which is not covered by most insurance, I had to get my thyroid checked last year, which resulted in half of it being removed due to a non cancerous growth, and then take another addiction drug combo for six months that did not result in any weight loss. My biggest challenge has been a combination of stress eating which these days I control half of the time and eating to stay awake longer which is about the same.

At know thy star, know thy planet 2 conference on the Caltech campus in Ramo auditorium. It made me realize why I skipped a lot of my classes in here and elsewhere on campus (besides being a night owl and sleeping in) - I didn’t fit in the damn seats. It was painful and uncomfortable. Not conducive to learning. I tolerated that a lot as an undergrad, especially on planes. The front row half worked but usually I was too timid to sit up front or got there a little late.

The validation of AU Mic d from our group in Wittrock et al. 2023 is confirmed and improved by the CHEOPS team with this fresh result! (our paper: ). What an amazing system - d is a sub-Earth mass planet inbetween b and c, and the TTVs support the misaligned c found by Yu et al. 2025 at the HARPS team with RVs (which is a crazy surprise given the relative flatness of most older compact multis).
