The Nebra Sky Disc is an ancient bronze artifact dating back to around 1600 BCE, discovered in Germany. It is considered the world’s oldest known representation of the cosmos. The disc depicts the Sun, the Moon, and stars—possibly the Pleiades. 🌗 #History

Born on this day in 1577: Beatrice Cenci, an Italian noblewoman executed for murdering her abusive father. Despite public sympathy, Pope Clement VIII denied her clemency, and she was beheaded, age 22. Her tragic story became a symbol of resistance, inspiring literature and art.

The Baška Tablet is one of the oldest and most significant monuments of Croatian literacy, dating back to 1100 AD. It is a large stone tablet inscribed in the Glagolitic script, an early Slavic alphabet, and contains one of the first mentions of Croatia in the Croatian language.

The Warwolf was a massive trebuchet built by Edward I of England during the siege of Stirling Castle in 1304, part of the Wars of Scottish Independence. It is believed to have been the largest trebuchet ever built and one of the most powerful weapons of the medieval period.
