I refuse to be angry because of the design of a 50p piece. If you're going to get angry about something, try being angry that a third of children in Wales are living in poverty.
1 in 5 pensioner households in Wales live in poverty.
So here's a simple reminder that not one Welsh Labour MP voted to keep the winter fuel allowance for some of our most vulnerable people.
Shameful
@WelshLabour
.
I hope that the next Prime Minister keeps Alun Cairns as Welsh Secretary. He'll surely go down as the greatest in our history. No Welsh Secretary has done more to aid the independence movement. Diolch Alun 👍
Lee Waters is currently outlining a 'New' Labour policy that basically redistributes wealth through public funding procurement. Only it isn't a labour policy. It's was a
@Plaid_Cymru
policy at the last election. Labour laughed at it.

On the left a tweet by Welsh Labour Leadership candidate Vaughan Gethin saying he supports a People's Vote and on the right the actual result of a vote on it in the Senedd where he voted against it. 🤔
Great to be on the same broadcast as

Laura. Wales is already in a national lockdown. As is Northern Ireland. Scotland is under a strict tier model.
So I'm afraid that I have to inform you that England is in fact about to follow the celtic nations. Not the other way around. Enjoy your evening.
Sounds like Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales are going to stick to their own plans for now, rather than following Johnson's expected 'stay at home' - remember different parts of the UK have already been under different and tighter restrictions already
Labour Government in Wales was offered devolving of rail in 2004, but unlike Scotland didn't take it. It would have locked in huge consequentials. Wales will be at the bottom of the investment table despite having 10% of rail network because of the Welsh Labour Party

I'll never be able to put in to words how painful the last year has been. It is a messure of the man that faced with his own mortality, he chose to stand up for what he believed in. Our movement has lost it's shining light. I will never forget you

When you become Mayor of your home town, you don't expect to lead the entire town down the High Street to protest cuts to culture and some of our most vulnerable people. I hope the Labour cabinet take note.
Back in 2018, Steffan Lewis warned against Wales' ability to stand up for ourselves should the continuity bill be repealed. Mark Drakeford wouldn't listen.
Wales' Finance Minister
@MarkDrakeford
says Wales won't lose any powers after Brexit. AM

shows that's not quite true... 🤔
The UK Govt's EU Withdrawal Bill will allow Westminster to interfere in Wales's powers in key areas such as the environment and agriculture.

The New MP for Newport West conveniently forgetting that Labour actually voted with, abstained and propped up the Tory Government when the Austerity Bill went through Parliament effectively inflicting Welfare Cuts amounting to £30 billion.
The biggest takeaway from the TV debates? The look of complete surprise on faces of all Labour politicians when they learn they actually run the Welsh Government. One even called for a public enquiry in to the way they run the NHS.

I expect better from a member of Parliament who recently considered himself capable of being speaker of the house of commons. This remark says a lot more about you than it does about us. It's a great reminder of why I stopped supporting Labour and joined

The

manifesto is out today. I'm pleased that we've again backed the former miners in our communities. I'm sure that some of you know how personal this issue is to me, and I'd like to thank everyone involved in making this pledge happen.
How long ago was it that politicians in Cardiff hijacked the Save Womanby Street campaign and made Cardiff a music city? Because all of that sounds hollow now doesn't it? We need to take a serious look at how planning laws and gentrification are effecting our towns/cities.
I'd like to remind the secretary of state that he is meant to be Wales' voice in Westminster and *Not* the Conservative Government's voice in Wales. Do we need a Welsh office?
Am pretty astonished by some of the apologists on my timeline at the moment in response to tonight's
#Dispatches
programme. So for those that somehow are still in doubt, please see below. 👇
Things to remember when Jeremy Corbyn talks about poverty.
The Labour Government in Wales
❌ won't fully mitigate the Bedroom Tax
❌won't lift the public sector pay cap for all.
❌won't scrap Tuition Fees.
❌supports Trident.
❌won't scrap zero hour contracts
Wales needs a different economic trajectory rather than accept a situation where 1 in 3 of our children live in poverty - the bitter legacy of Westminster not giving us our fair share.

Thank you for your opinions. I disagree. Delyth will make a fantastic AM. I know her well, due to the hundreds of hours we spent on the campaign trail at the last assembly elections. Your comments say more about you than the do about her.
You should be ashamed of yourself. Move them on. What then? Try bringing forward policy that doesn't put people in that position in the first place. You're stood in front of a symptom of your own party's policy.
Shameful.
The NHS is broken, and it was the Conservatives who broke it.
Only Labour can reform the NHS.
We’re working night and day to turn it around, so it can be there for us when we need it, once again.
Back in 2018, Steffan Lewis warned against Wales' ability to stand up for ourselves should the continuity bill be repealed. Mark Drakeford wouldn't listen.
This is out of order
@StagecoachWales
. I'm afraid that you're wasting time and money printing this kind of propaganda in the

#CheersDrive
Stagecoach Wales have paid for news content in The South Wales Argus, which is owned by Newsquest, that attacks the Unite union over a strike by bus drivers. But workers are demanding a £10.50 per hour wage and no cuts to T&Cs. And they are not being pushed back on that.
This is what you voted for, and when people like me pointed out the folly of triggering article 50 without proper planning you called it scaremongering.
So far this morning on BBC Radio Wales, we've had a poem by Max Boyce on how he might vote Tory and Nesa from Gavin and Stacey on Covid-19.

UK Govt sources say that officials from Welsh & Scottish governments are working closely with Whitehall officials on preparations for a range of deal/no-deal scenarios.
Not a lot of strong Conservative voices in the

AGM today, and given the way we've spent the morning talking about diversity within the moment. I find it worrying. I get the irony of me saying this as a socialist. But there we go, I've said it.

Your leader is currently in talks with the Conservative government in London working hard to deliver a hard Brexit. All of it against the democratic will of his own members. See you in 2021.
@IwanRob60
It's an irony, isn't it, that it's Plaid Cymru who already have and will in the future work with the Tories in Wales. And even UKIP if it suits. Again, not saying you shouldn't - it's a numbers game - just don't pretend it hasn't / will not happen.
