We managed to sort out the old Ant Colony 1 code and update the game. After two months of trying to build the version, we figured out the code and I even begin to believe that it would be possible to release new updates for this game in the future😄

Guys, its only 4 bugs left in the game that needs to be fixed, but we need to do extra work for our University. It will take us about 1.5 weeks😰. Bugs are serious, enemies doesn't work properly without fixing it, so we can't give you the game yet.

PreAlpha is finally ready, today was first closed playtest. It works! We need to complete new bugs that we've found and add couple new UX elements so player better understands the game basics aaand we're ready to upload it for all Discord users. Not much time left! :)

Starting inner tests in our discord. First we shared game with a small group of players that already had rank "Tester". If they find no game crushes or serious bugs - we'll start registration for tests for the rest of our Discord users
We are very excited about success of our first ever made game Ant Colony. However it was just a test. At this time we had no stable team and our skills was extremely low. So we were unable to continue develop even with fact that game got 1 000 000 downloads. Now we are ready.
Building mode v0.1. In this mode you can give ants tasks to dig, fill, build, destroy and couple of other things.
.EXCAV represents ants. Currently we are completing their AI. In the next version they'll be able to dig and build by themselves.

Hi there! For now there is no real point to research all map. We are preparing some content on the far lands, but it will work only on new saves anyway
Underground is generated procedurally. So you never know where will be your base at the beginning and where will be stones that doesn't allow you to move them. It makes each base layout unique. Currently size of underground is 500 tiles - all free for you to dig and build.
We are getting multiple questions about platforms where game will be available. It will probably be like so:
Pre-Alpha, Alpha - Google Play
Beta - IOS, HUAWEI AppGallery
Release - Steam
From the last tests we've made a list of 30+ fixes needed to be done, and we also need to remake the enemies and food spawn system, as it ruins the balance a bit, but i would say its a game already. You can do stuff there ;)
As we are developing something that does not exist on mobile devices yet - we cannot say exactly what features will be in game, bc maybe tests will show us low performance and we'll have to cut some AI, building or perking features.
In the near future we will be finalizing the content, fixing bugs, adjusting the balance and technical tasks.
We plan to release OBT on Google Play in the spring. In the next posts we will tell you more about what the game can do ✨
