Hello all. I have been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy.
Good news: I'm not in any danger. I'm ok. The left side of my face doesn't work well right now. It's weird. But full muscle control will return in time.
I'm taking some time off of video production as I heal up. I'll be back.

Bell's Palsy update: I had my final Follow-Up appointment this morning. The doctor was very happy with my progress. No more meds, and she thinks Ill be 100% within the month.
Most muscle control has returned, so Im feeling pretty great. Thanks again for all of the kind messages!

My grandfather passed away this morning.
Life is too stinking short and precious to let stupid things take all of your focus.
It's hard, and we're all going through our own stuff. But try to focus on the positives and those you love.

It's been a week since my Bell's Palsy diagnosis. I had my first follow-up appt. Doc says my case looks to be on the milder side. Doesn't expect any permanent damage.
No improvements yet, but doc reiterated everyone heals differently. Could be a few weeks.
Staying positive!

I placed my book on my shelf today. There it stands alongside the works of so many others who I have admired and looked up to for many years. Standing back and looking at this was more emotional than I anticipated. I'm honored to have added a piece of myself to toy history.

A year ago at this time I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. It was a scary day at the hospital, but ultimately it was a minor case and things could have always been worse, considering.
After about 6 weeks, muscle control returned to my face about 99%.

It was a scary experience last week. But ultimately I'm happy to know that this is mild and I'll get passed it. I'm healthy otherwise.
