🚨Happening TODAY at 4:30 p.m.🚨 Join our center in Room 1500 of Posvar Hall for a screening and moderated discussion of the documentary film, "Navalny" to commemorate the life of political activist, Aleksei Navalny.

Join our center TOMORROW (4/12) for a commemorative screening of Daniel Roher’s 2022 documentary, "Navalny." Following the film, Dmitry Bykov, an exiled writer, poet, and journalist who (like Navalny) was poisoned (though unsuccessfully), will lead a discussion.

Our center wants to draw your attention to another wonderful event that is happening this Friday (4/12).📆 Pitt will host renowned rhetoric professor Ekaterina Haskins to discuss her latest book, "Remembering the War, Forgetting the Terror." Participation is encouraged!

Tomorrow (4/10) Dr. Olga Kim, an Alumni from Pitt's Slavic Department, will be giving a lecture on Sergei Parajanov's cinematographic style. Parajanov has been regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers in cinema history.

This Friday (4/12), join our center in honoring the life of Russian lawyer and political activist, Aleksei Navalny, through a screening and discussion of the documentary film "Navalny." The film will be introduced, and the discussion will be led by Dmitry Bykov.

This Friday (4/5), join Tatyana Gershkovich in her discussion on how the Soviets and the Russian émigré community used Leo Tolstoy’s work as an instrument for their own purposes. The lecture begins at 4 p.m. in 246A Baker/Porter Hall on CMU's campus. Participation is encouraged.
