Happy 35th anniversary! In 1990, this 11-unit residence in Dorchester was Pine Street’s seventh supportive housing location. Now, the residence is a thriving community for people moving out of homelessness and into a permanent home. #TBT

Housing changes lives. Pine Street works to make the dream of a permanent home a reality for everyone. In 2024, more than 650 people were housed through Pine Street housing initiatives. In 2025, our goal is to add 99 apartments to move people off the streets and out of shelter.

In frigid temperatures, homeless individuals face the dangers of exposure. Pine Street Inn’s doors are open 24/7 to keep people warm. "For people who are reluctant to come in, we’ve opened the lobby, and you can just sit if you want," says Lyndia Downie.
