I think its similar to USAID, just my theory, why else would they pay a SS number various times. It would default somewhere wouldnt it? Why else are they almost bankrupt. They give to illegals but think of how much they take in daily. How else could they have raided the money??

The sad truth is those on social security have probably been cheated dramatically by giving to illegals, and kickback schemes. The clue is they tie raises to inflation which over past 50 years has been high during only Reagan and Biden that I recall. Rest around 1-2%.

I wonder if anyone among us thought to calculate from beginning of their work life to retirement the amount they personally paid into social security and medicare? I never checked mine. Would be interesting to take those figures, map moneymarket interest and see how much we have been cheated by the govt. I KNOW It wasn't started as an entitlement!
