I wrote this book a very long time ago but prison suicides and prisoner deaths remain important and terribly underresearched topics
Findings by @ONS show an average of 85 suicides in UK prisons a year, with 30% of all deaths being suicides. A study by @PhilippaTomczak on suicide in UK prisons was reviewed by PhD candidate Bradley Read, himself a former prison manager. Read it here:
