I went to SummerSlam ‘97 and got a lift to RAW in Bethlehem, PA the next day with TAKA Michinoku and Pablo Marquez (long story!). Got dropped off in the wrestlers car park and locked eyes with Owen who gave me a “don’t talk to me look.” He looked distraught.

So awesome. That was my first trip to the UZ. Was ringside at LuLu Temple (supporting the Dirtbike Kid!) - IIRC had a Taz shirt on I bought from merch that night. Cool to come full circle and having my first time Vegas for Double Or Nothing.

They also free to leave if there name wasn’t on the line-up board. Saw Bobby Blaze outside Thunder in March 1999 and he told he’d see us again in ten mins as he didn’t expect he was being used that night. Ten mins later we saw him again as he left the arena.
