@yerbaenjoyer What are your thoughts on Argerich’s Gaspard de La nuit recording? Hearing her makes me feel so unaccomplished

We describe a novel genetic syndrome characterized by enlarged brain ventricles and hydrocephalus, caused by mutations in the TRIM71 gene. Genomic medicine at play for a classic neurosurgical disease. @Brain1878 @KahleKristopher @Wjkkol

We propose that hydrocephalus is not a problem of too much fluid, but rather too little brain, either from less brain being made due to neurodevelopmental problems in pediatric hydrocephalus or from too much brain damage due to neurodegeneration in elederly normal pressure hydro.

Duy et al. discuss evidence from congenital hydrocephalus, inflammation-related post-infectious hydrocephalus, and elderly normal pressure hydrocephalus to formulate a new perspective that unifies multiple forms of hydrocephalus from “womb to tomb”.

@Sergiu_P_Pasca Why not? I went to conferences all the time as a child with my physician-scientist mother. Nobody had an issue. It should in fact be encouraged
