Beyond proud to announce the completion of my Ph.D. in Chemistry at Northwestern University!! So grateful for the mentorship of @CHADNANO and the collaboration of @MirkinGroupNU. My next adventure is as a postdoc with @jaykeasling and @Keasling_Lab at UC Berkeley!

Proud to share our team’s total microbial biosynthesis of verazine and excited to keep making more plant natural products in yeast!!
We're excited to share the work led by Dr. @PeterWinegar on the complete biosynthesis of verazine. This accomplishment marks the #1st heterologous steroidal alkaloid produced in engineered yeast, unlocking future drug development. Congrats, Peter!! 🧬🎉

Collaborated with @SEE_adrian_figg to establish this modular method to create sequence-encoded protein oligomers. Without modifying proteins or our DNA scaffold, we made many different oligomeric constructs with up to 5 proteins! @MirkinGroupNU @CHADNANO
