Dear @BBCNews I despise your deliberate mischaracterisation of those opposing uncontrolled immigration as being “far right”, either domestically or internationally. Since the politicians who we vote for to represent us, opened the gates to a flood of people who do not share our values and visions of what our countries means to us, we have seen major and minor crimes spike. The correlation is undeniable. To write off people of the right and left as simply “far right” - a term used deliberately to devalue them and their legitimate concerns - means that you are doing the work of those that seek to divide us. A free press is supposed to hold accountable those who have their hand on the levers of power. You, and all the mainstream media like you who continue peddling this lie, will be the enemy of truth so long as you continue to do so. The mainstream media is dying. Fewer and fewer people buy your content now, and as many are switching over to independent media as they more accurately report on the stories that matter to the populace. She sat on one chair and me on the settee chatting away. She started to smile and I asked her what she was smiling for. She said "it doesn't matter love" and I asked again why she was smiling. She said "the old lady is sitting next to you". Made me feel weird. Nan said "she won't do you any harm Bren". It gave me the willies''

This says less about you, Lewis, and more about the state of the heretical church. If God is in your heart, then you don't need the church, as it is.
Today, I made the difficult decision to leave the church after being refused baptism. For a year and a half, I patiently waited, attended Sunday worship, and committed to the process—only to be told I wouldn’t be baptised because of my journalism and the time I dedicate to it. It was already a challenge to attend every service they offered, but I made as much time as I could. It took a lot for me to go in the first place, as there is a growing number of churches that lean into progressive politics during sermons, and I just won’t put myself in a situation where I have to listen to it. This experience has been deeply disheartening and has left me questioning whether the denomination I’ve been part of is right for me. I have a lot to reflect on, but it felt wrong not going today, bear in mind, I was an atheist for 28 years. Onwards and upwards, as they say.
