This "speculation" is conveniently out on the day results are to be announced...
KCB Group seems to have sealed a deal to sell National Bank to a Nigerian lender.
KCB is releasing its FY 23 earnings today after markets close and is likely to announce the deal today at the same event.
This might be the good news that KCB needed to loft the share price.
