Once a friend had a going away party at a bar, and I attended. I was about 30 weeks and wore a loose shirt so nobody made weird comments. After turning down drink after drink, I lifted my shirt a bit to reveal my huge belly. A guy fell off his chair in shock.

Back when Stew was mayor, he'd be up at dawn, delivering milk to babies. Then he'd empty each city garbage can by hand, ensuring nothing was left behind. After lunch, he'd tackle some people for minor thefts and end his day by herding homeless people back to Vic. God, I miss him.

In 2017, in the CFAX Bike to Work Week challenge, they showed that a pedal bike could beat a car from Admiral/Colville to downtown.
Adam was supposed to be driving the car, but he didn't show up. Someone else had to be disparaging on his behalf.

Several Ridgeview residents have said they're disappointed M&C haven't reached out. Personally, if a similar thing happened to me, I wouldn't expect that & also would be kind of weirded out.

At the end of the day, I stopped worrying about what I was eating and just surrounded myself with small snacks I knew I could manage if I found myself hungry. Instant oatmeal, pudding cups, dips. Not the most nutritional but at least I was getting food in my body.

I see your point but I also see the benefit of informing kids before they need to ask. Some children may not have the environment in which they feel safe to ask. And having these conversations before they feel personal might just let kids accept them more easily, without shame.

By the way- having a job doesn't guarantee you a home. Couldn't find a more recent statistic, but in 2016, 17.4% of the provinces' unhoused population were employed.

We know just as much about these individuals as we did the Ridgeview residents, whose evacuation inspired a wave of support.

I'd say my biggest criticism atm is that it is vague and contains a lot of buzzwords. But I recognize that it is a draft plan for making plans, and will likely become more specific as it develops.

Since council revealed they've received threats, people have asked to see them to judge themselves. They've said they weren't meant like that or not that bad. That people have been driven to make them, or that council signed up for them.
