With a MASSIVE influx of new players, playtesting, and feedback, we've begun working on upgrading and polishing the controls.

I cannot believe the demo will go live in a few days. Do you wanna know how long it took to set up everything? In a few months, we'll be done with the first chapter. And there are only four chapters in the entire game.

I saw a fun thread comparing Helluva Boss characters to candies. So I've decided to do a similar thing with the PEPPERED cast.
Warning: Contains my interpretation of the characters, which might be considered spoiler-ish. Technically.

Fun fact: a lot of the things in the game is based on real life. Even a boss who keeps knight's armor in his office — that's a thing. It's real, it exists, I've seen it.

Hi, I'm making an existential platformer with funny characters that go through insane and traumatizing crap. Check it out!
In the first draft, Cynthia was a happy-go-lucky type of character.
But it turned out that it would be more fitting (and funny) for the story if life just constantly shat on her for no reason at all.
She's still a very resilient and honest person that never gives up, though.
I want certain levels to have functional traffic road signs that inform the player about the upcoming hazards. Or the level layout. And yes, I choose the American signs. But I'm not using Fahrenheit in the game, fuck you XD

The game engine we use,

, plans to implement an installation fee.
The feature in its current state (based on the official FAQ) puts PEPPERED's development into question. If this fee gets passed, Unity developers will end up with crippling debts.
This week has been mostly about talking to lawyers, writing scenes, and bouncing back after the vaccine. I can't show any of this, so here: have a picture instead.
Currently, I'm working on a video about "PEPPERED's" status. Where is a public demo? Kickstarter launch date? What can you expect in a full game etc., etc.

While we're preparing stuff for the Kickstarter campaign, there's not that much I could show you.
That's why I keep bringing up the fact that the game's plot went through a lot of rewrites. For example. At one point. THIS was a thing.

Originally, the game had a dialogue box with character's faces. But it looked ugly and it covered a fair chunk of the screen.
@nararcher
pointed out that our game is expressive enough without it. So we ditched it.
