From educator Gwen Blumberg: “Whose voices are heard the most in our classrooms? Teacher voices? Kid voices? The same kid voices? Talk is an art & we can teach kids to grow this skill like any other. I keep coming back to the progression of talk shared by Cynthia Satterlee at The Teachers College Reading & Writing Project reunion & the importance of lifting the level of student talk. I remade her graphic and added a few talk prompts to help make this a teacher scaffold & hopefully a kid tool. Building off the work of: Katy Wishow, Shana Frazin, Donna Santman, & Gaby Layden."
