Examples of unscientific corrupting business school-style narrative (also overlaps with "new age" narrative): 1/ #narcissism and cognitive #empathy do not exist. 2/ all can self-reflect authentically. 3/ #compassion/#kindness whenever expressed is always sincere and is a simple binary switch. 4/ #listening is always sincere and with compassion. 5/ #emotionalintelligence, self-compassion, self-reflection, #meditation, #mindfulness, and #Buddhism are all intrinsically virtuous - just not true they can all be put to a bad purpose. 6/ bullies and toxic people can be successfully urged to play nice for the greater good by appealing to their "good side". May typically just provoke eg box-ticking, virtue signalling and faux smiling. 7/ #psychologicalsafety is an oversold concept - held out as a holy grail but can easily be misused. 8/ #willfulblindness is simplistic narrative of a more complex subject. Coopted by a business woman from a US legal term. 9/ #FTSU All the above allow the possibility of malicious game playing eg:

#patientsafety I 1000% agree that genuine #compassion is a fantastic thing. But just saying that over and over again in this WHO publication is not enough. It's just assumed that it can spread by just saying this as an implied urge or magical thinking. Zero reference to the fact that it's scientifically a very complex subject and a lot of expressed compassion is inauthentic/insincere/manipulative - dangerous to mask this.
