The real ethnic cleansing took place in Palestine in 1948-1949. In 1947 the Jewish population of Palestine was 630,000 people (Jewish Library data). The majority of the population were Muslims and Christians, 1,324,000 people in total. Three years later the Jewish population had doubled through migration, while the Palestinian population was reduced in a 87% . Between 1948-1949 more than 1,100,000 of Palestinians, Muslims and Christians, were killed or expelled to the 22% of Palestine that Israel had no invaded (It would do in 1967). To prevent the return of the Palestinian refugees to their lands and homes and they couldn't regain their propierties, and to definitely change the demography of the new state, the Zionist needed mass migration to the country. Many come from Europe, but this wasn't enough, so the Zionist encouraged the mass migration of Jewish Arabs. By contrast many Arab countries restricted the migration of their Jewish population to Israel to prevent that the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians become permanent. Nothing is black and white. It is true that since the 1948's Nakba there were protest and revolts against Jewish people in some arab countries. But the usual response of the respective governments was to protect their Jewish population, not to expel it. The Turkish government recognized the state of Israel in 1949. It had no reason to persecute its Jewish population. Most of the Algerian Jews migrated after the independence of Argelia, but they migrated to France. And the conflict of the argelians with the Jewish population of the country wasn't religious but a political one. They were considered collaborators of the former French colonial regime. To talk about the Arab Jews' migration to Israel as comparable to the Nakba is a travesty. All along the Arab world Israeli agencies asked the respective governments to collaborate and facilitate the migration to Israel of its Jewish population. When the "diplomacy" wasn't enough, some terrorist attacks against synagogues or Jewish business happened, as in Iraq; attacks commited by the Zionists to encourage people to migrate to Israel. In Egypt the part of the Jewish population that had decided don't migrate to Israel had to do it after the Lavon affair, another false flag attack commited by Zionist terrorists, who planted bombs in US and British institutions with the idea of blaming the Egyptians and thus to deteriorate Egypt's relations with Western powers.
