So glad kids will be able to play basketball later. Thanks @JohnTory . Last year, on behalf of the community, I wrote to Parks staff telling them that taking the hoops down at 6 pm was unreasonable, but they would not agree to a change. Good to hear it's been reconsidered.

The Dundas St. East Bike Lanes, one of the oldest commuter bike lanes in Toronto, will be getting an upgrade between Broadview Ave and Kingston Road. This includes concrete curbs, bollards, and buffer zones in areas that can be upgraded immediately.

The Leslie St. Spit Floating Pedestrian Bridge, which has been undergoing necessary repairs, was returned to the water and transported to the Spit this morning. @PortsToronto will complete the rehabilitation project and the bridge should return to operation in coming days.

It was great to be on Gerrard St. East this morning to announce that the report coming to the upcoming Exec Committee recommends a plan to make #CafeTO permanent and waive fees in 2022. CafeTO has helped so many small businesses and has made our neighbourhoods more vibrant.

Good news! The streetcar track replacement at Broadview and Gerrard will finish ahead of schedule and will reopen this Sunday at 7 am. 504 and 506 bus service will return to regular route and streetcars will be back Sept 2nd 🚋

Nice recent example of traffic calming at Langley and Carlaw. Very narrow entrance and very tight curb radii nudge drivers to slow down as they turn onto street. Also short crossing for pedestrians. Good work @TO_Transport , more please. And add zebra striped crosswalk. #walkTO

In its 27th year, the East York Seniors Dinners had to be delivered this year. Thanks to the tremendous volunteers who made 300 seniors very happy this year!

Some residents have reported a fake letter that appears like it is from the City's “Department of Water” about lead pipe replacement resulting in a charge to your utility bill. This is fraud. Please report it to Toronto Police Service non-emergency line at 416-808-2222.
