@CNviolations The problem is that we have learned from Bernie: even the "party for the 99%" is still beholden to lobbyists despite claiming the opposite. The best way to combat it is to shrink the government so far down that the 1% does not have an avenue to rule.

@GrageDustin Maybe Walz. His presidential bid is basically over. Unfortunately, I don't think it will much matter. While GOP made gains in the state, we aren't yet to a point where that is a viable seat.

Also, they are assuming no recessions, 2.8% average growth for 10 years, and no disaster spending (they already committed to the California wildfires) Look, pre-covid, this might have been worth it, but now we are so screwed, this will only exacerbate inflation, which is costing most consumers more than the cost of the lapsing tax cuts. Plus, dems would be forced to agree to most of the tax cuts on middle class anyway even outside of reconciliation (and the extra we are getting is coming at a cost with SALT). Therefore, I would have used reconciliation for other things, but it is what it is.

@varadmehta If that is the case, while sad to say, Thomas and Alito may want to consider retiring so Trump can have the SCOTUS be a majority constitutionalists for the next generation at least.

@NewMexicoVoice Believe it or not, I can see Josh Shapiro being the face of it. For the most part, he has been pretty moderate in PA (best seen in his stances for lockdowns and school choice). But of course he has one big obstacle to overcome.
