In the video linked we can see Gears 4 vs 5, this is a small part of 1 test that I decided to take a look at. Personally if aim assist has been like this in older Gears' then I must have not seen it. What changed? 🙂

There's still no logic in why it was removed in the first place.
It was never to ADD a layer of skill like you claimed, it was to REMOVE a layer of skill so that new players had more chance.
I find it interesting that these good changes are coming now that gamepass users left

If the Gears remasters are true.
Gears 3 WILL need a rate of fire reduction for the Lancer, will also need a damage reduction for the Retro and Hammerburst.
The jump to 60fps+ would make those old tunings designed for 30fps, very very OP. (it'd feel similar to Gears 4 Core)

When I think of Gears atmosphere, it's this Gears 1 section.
Night time, out in the streets, Kryll. It makes the atmosphere feel tense and like its really bad times.
Once its all bright colours and light, it naturally makes you feel safe. It's a war, it's not safe lol.

G5 attempted this, it resulted in an artificial skill gap that appealed to nobody
E-Day needs to pick an audience, if it picks new players who don't stick around, Imo people shouldn't return when 'mistakes are realised' AGAIN

If Gears 6 happens, after seeing UE5 I'm confident in saying it's going to look phenomenal. Gears 4 on UE4 looked amazing so I can only imagine how good the advances will be!

Reasons for restrictive movement
- People not being good enough to bounce above an average level, whilst claiming that they can but choose not to
(Nobody learns a skill to then not use it, they can bounce average at best)
- People who can't land shots on those who can bounce
I hope Gears of War E-day lets us have more freedom with our movement like in the old days. I feel like putting restraints on people who truly practice and put time into a game is going backwards in gaming nowadays. Here's a old video of me!

I have seen that there are people complaining that the removal of Active Lancer damage is a bad thing, that it allows players to pick up power weapons as a result.
Not even taking into account time spent running to and from the spawn point, we can see that you have enough time.

IF a fenix collection happens, for all we love Gears 3, we have to accept that things need nerfing.
Even then, also have to accept that the mentality of players has shifted towards "tactical camping" and "support play", so although it'd be amazing, it won't feel like 2011

If Gears 6 is going to have long matchmaking times like Gears 4 & 5, I hope they add an option in the menu to watch a movie or something for whilst you wait, then when it finds a match that doesn't dissolve, it switches to game automatically in case you forgot you were searching.
