It was lovely welcoming my second South Korean parliamentary delegation today. As younger parliamentarians they were fascinated by the folly of Brexit and the challenges facing liberal democracies across the globe.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting a delegation from the South Korean parliament. We discussed how South Korea is unique in delivering nuclear power plants on time & in budget, and the importance of the UK recognising our veterans role in the Korean war.

Last October, I called on the Government to introduce a National Cancer Strategy. On World Cancer Day, it’s encouraging to see them now making progress towards this with the Call for Evidence.

The Government's utterly impractical proposals for wine duty will create huge uncertainty for the industry over price & profit margins. Alcohol duties add yet another burden to hospitality venues and the night time economy, already facing an existential crisis. I pushed for a 6 month review to assess impact.
