@grumpyoldfool62 I have no sympathy for him. He breached Section 17 Nondisclosure of information by members etc of the Inquiries Act. It is punishable by fine and or up to 6 months imprisonment. He should be charged and tried, punished if found guilty which he seems to be.

@EricTopol Not unfathomable. Peak daily cases is 3 times highest previous wave. Death rate is 1/3 of that previous wave per case. Part of reduction due to vaccines, part to prior infection, part that vulnerable can only die once and so many already have.

@sallymcmanus Look back to 1962 to 74. That is what happens when neither fiscal nor monetary policy put a stake through the heart of inflation early. Wage price spiral once started is very difficult to stop as inflationary expectations get embedded. Lots of people get hurt by inflation too.
