As the last elected Republican in Fairfax County, I’ve seen first-hand what happens when liberal politicians take control. That’s why I’m announcing my campaign for Lieutenant Governor. In 2025, we must keep the Commonwealth on track with commonsense, conservative leadership.

While Steve Descano's budget has more than doubled from $4.2M in 2020 to $9.3M in 2024, he's prosecuting fewer crimes and winning a lower percentage of cases. Meanwhile the County is facing a potential budget shortfall of over $300M. The budget of a failing Commonwealth's Attorney's office that puts repeat violent offenders back on our streets and doesn't prosecute a sex offender preying on young girls should be one place to start closing the shortfall.
🚨New: Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano declined to prosecute 58-year-old Richard Cox, a sex offender who identifies as transgender, when he was charged for exposing himself in a Planet Fitness women’s bathroom.

Fairfax Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano’s continued failures have put a convicted sex offender in women’s locker rooms with young girls. Fairfax County and the Commonwealth deserve leaders who will protect our communities - not actively endanger them.

Fairfax County policies enable a male who identifies as a female to use women's locker rooms and spaces. I encourage my board colleagues to join with me to change this policy and keep our women and young girls safe.

No woman – and certainly no young girl – should ever have this horrible experience. As a father and a grandfather, I can’t imagine this happening to someone in my family. I’ve spoken with the family of one of the young girls this man exposed himself to. It’s been traumatic, and it’s an experience no child should suffer. Liberals are preoccupied with earning political points while their policies put our women and children at risk. It’s time to restore common sense to our policies and change them to keep men out of women’s spaces and protect our women and children.

Sen. @DiggsForSenate's bipartisan SB1411 clarified ambiguity in existing law to close a loophole allowing drunk drivers and other criminals to go without prosecution. Sen. @AaronRouseVA just voted against it because he'd rather protect criminals than keep our communities safe.

Democrats - predominately from urban or suburban areas - want to force rural localities to accept solar projects they don’t want. As an elected Supervisor I know that decisions for solar should rest with members of the community, not liberal politicians. Senators Rouse and Hashmi both want to be Lieutenant Governor, but voted to advance this legislation saying the state is better suited to decide what’s best for any given community. As your Lieutenant Governor I would reject this idea and let localities make the decisions that are best for them.
