In 1969, when black Americans were still prevented from swimming alongside whites, decided to invite Officer Clemmons to join him and cool his feet in a pool, breaking a well-known color barrier.
The last "knight" was a man named Josef Mencik. He lived in Czechoslovakia until 1945 like a real knight, in a castle, without electricity or cars. He even attacked German tanks on his horse in full armor during World War 2.
