Work is as weird as it may sound actually good against depression. Used to go to a therapist regarding my depression, and the 3 main things mentioned were: Social contacts Daily activities And a proper sleep schedule Work offers you all 3 of these. You always wake up at the same time, working itself is an long lasting daily activity, and social contacts mostly come from co-workers, not only while at work, but also if you find time to do after work/weekend things with them.
