Digital Nation Pakistan Bill appears to address the right levers. Best part is the National Digital Commission consisting of the PM, the 4 CMs plus other key persons. Hopefully, it'll sync digital policies & efforts of provinces, which are fragmented as IT is a devolved sector.

Led a training session on Digital Infrastructure & Economic Development on Nov 12, under ADB tech assistance program 30 government officials from 20 ministries & depts participated They were informed about their role in development of this tool for nation's future economic growth

There were only 10 men in 50-60 participants, & in a panel of 5, I was the only male! At SDPI Conference last week session “Bridging the Gender gap: Empowering Women in Digital Banking and E-commerce” We are so used to male-dominated events that it was a rare pleasant surprise!

To explain Internet disruptions in 2024, Blog shows 5 submarine cable faults in 2024. All resolved by Sep. 1- If all faults resolved by Sep, why complaints of slow internet now? 2- How's govt managing risks to🇵🇰Int'l connectivity which can damage economy?

It's welcome that PTA has mandated the much-needed comprehensive Cybersecurity Audit for Telecom Operators. Are other Sector Regulators also doing the same? They should. Cybersecurity must be taken very seriously.

Malaysia - 5G race heats up, 4 Telcos Submit Bids Earlier Govt set up DNB as sole 5G provider on a wholesale basis. But following complaints about DNB having a monopoly the Govt agreed to introduce a 2nd 5G operator in which it would not hold a stake.
