I recall many saying we never owned our items and not to trust Quidd and Animoca Brands based on facts 1, 2, or 3 etc. Yes the discord has years of this to look back on. I believe the misconception here is that I am not upset nor deterred. I am always and have been open to listening to all sides. The FUD, fictional or not, allowed me to collect and accumulate even more because I saw reason to have faith in Animoca and Quidd. But also the FUD pushed so many away for years. While many were running or doing little during the trying times. We have seen many showing they are happy Quidd closed, while others say they knew it was a matter of time with their facts. I am one of the few who believe's something bigger is around the corner. I have always said the community had the power to do more with our collectibles while showing this with videos, shows, spaces, metaverse displays, etc. Years of content creation and never sponsored paid. But the, we don't own these and shouldn't show them always came up. That we didn't have the licensing or they were inactive licensing, even when we could buy, sell, them with cash deposits. Post closure I still see the meta data is there. We have a rare opportunity for first sale doctrine to be on digital collectibles and assets @realDonaldTrump Many have spent thousands, tens of thousands, and I have seen 100s of thousands spent on Quidd. Quidd for 100 years was promised and all the videos are up with different variations saying this would occur through ownership with and without NFTs. The USA through the new administration had executive orders to make it the capital of AI and Crypto. Many even laughed at me for years because I felt strongly about AI and our Digital Collectibles. While showing what we could do with them and with AI. Look the old Quidd is gone. That is the fact many wanted. I am waiting to see now and take advantage of the opportunity of what comes next. It's been years in the making and waiting. A few others feel the same as myself. Now it's waiting to see what happens next in the weeks and months to come.

The one month anniversary closure of @quidd your subsidiary, is upon us in two days. I have faith @animocabrands and @shushudigital previously known as Pop Culture are working, not only to preserve our collections, but to show the transition of web2 into the future of web3. I am also a major holder of Quidd Token as is NotForTrade. We and many others believe in the vision of digital ownership and the network effect. If we didn't own these digital collectibles as many have told me over the years and that the Quidd Token is dead, then the dream is lost. With so many companies pushing the envelope and the tech, what comes next will show who will pave the way or will be just WEN, SOON, and promises. Why do we or should we value digital ownership. These questions are fundamentals that will be the basis and foundation of web3 and how we store, value, and prove digital ownership in real time. We have experienced various variations of digital ownership in one form or another with physical stores of mediums. Be it game cartridges, disks, cd, hard drives, memory sticks, and more. The bridge has been, how do we take what we have done with conventional digital storage means and make that work in the purely digital environments? With the focus of allowing ownership without the loss of the digital copy items to other means. Piracy has been a major issue in the, digital realms for a very long time. The same holds for physical, but it was much more difficult to reproduce and copy. Thus, real-time solutions have to be brought to market to allow the creator and client/consumer to have both services to use, store, and own while safety of and for the IP and creators. Confidence in the technologies has to benefit and protect all involved to create and maintain long-term value and interest for long-term growth. I have watched these technologies and markets for a very long time. I hope to be a part of that future of true functional digital ownership and see it become a reality.

So with Pokémon Pocket TCG to be able to add trading here in a short while this kind of shows the possibilities of not only player-to-player training to get those harder and uncommon and rare Pokemon. But maybe the possibility of outside player buying and trading. I guess time will tell and we'll see what happens.

Well. I am a half glass full person. But we will have to see how this will look. Many feel an archived collection like Neonmob would be better fitting. Because there were so many different licenses and hundreds of brands on Quidd during a coin and play to collect/trade economy vs a cash and mintables economy. It was one of the biggest digital examples of an all one stop shop under one roof. If Animoca Brands and or partners can make a relaunch, transition, or v2 work, it will be a brighter future and a great revival story for the growing space and industry. But for now, we will have to wait and see how this will all look.

I have been in the digital field for many years and acquiring digital collectibles and or assets during that time across many chains, platforms, and ecosystems. For a long time I had collected on a platform called Quidd. This platform started in 2016 and continued until services were stopped in Jan 3rd 2025. Before this I saw the minting ability stopped. Also even before that, I saw liquidity pulled from the Quidd Token, mostly on Ethereum. One interesting take away is the End of Year AMA that Yat Siu was speaking on Dec 17th 2023. I will share the, about 5min, snippet and let you make your own options. Many are waiting to see what happens and how this will look in the months and years to come. Animoca Brands is a very large company owning more then 450 companies. When Yat Siu speaks, it's worth the listen. Follow any of this at your own risk. Me, I am still collecting and still the enthusiast I started out as.

I like to always keep my eyes on the horizon and imagine how things will all look like in the future. But, things usually take longer or much longer than we would like. I remember the first real cool smart phone I had, the Samsung Omnia back in 2008. Verses my Ultra 24 Samsung. Very different worlds of mobile experience separated by about 15 years. I wonder what I will think 15 years from now and my digital collecting and web3 /4 experience 🤔
