@Frozie40 @Bnicklaus7 Everyone has downside. Especially pitchers. The injury factor looms over anyone who throws a ball for a living & Sasaki has had issues. If you look at it like we bought a mostly developed 1st round pick for $6M it looks pretty good. Total value won’t be revealed till later.

@Bnicklaus7 $300M value IF he becomes what we hope he becomes. $6M at worst so like a busted first round pick if he doesn’t. Makes sense.

@notgaetti The hate on twitter is real! I love that you bring relevance & a spotlight back to guys that time may have forgotten. Baseball has been played a long time & attracts new fans every day. Keep telling the stories. Every guy you mentioned means something to someone somewhere.

@TooMuchMortons_ Good dude, well liked and can still play some solid D. Limit his AB’s to RHP only and he should be a net positive.

@Bnicklaus7 It seems like it would be logical not to factor injury into determining a two- way player. Any idea how MLB got to being concerned with how pitchers are on the roster? If a team wanted to carry 11 position players & 15 pitchers it feels like it should be their prerogative.

@EmilyCWaldon 28 minutes - $1M and tell the truth about the trash cans, the buzzers & everything that went into the cheating scandal on live tv while hooked to a polygraph.

@caddietales unpopular opinion but I wish all courses were cart path only. I grew up on a cp only course and it was pristine. Part of it was great maintenance, but the other part was eliminating the track marks and wear spots on the course.

@BBorbz @DodgersNation I’ve never heard the Liam Hendricks v. Joe Kelly thing. All I could find was they didn’t care for each other but didn’t mention his cancer. Joes a weirdo, but I’ve never heard that his teammates didn’t like him.

@mickeykoke Those are good moves. I think you will be disappointed in Verdugo. He’s chippy so it might work, an alternative could be Jason Heyward was a 3.1 WAR player last year, came up with some big hits & is known as a great leader. Could be good for young guys on roster. Just a thought.

@CoachBeede I left that world almost 10 years ago. Looking in the rear view mirror it’s amazing how many “can’t miss” travel ball stars never grew, never got better and were burnt out by high school. Only a fraction played in college & even fewer played professionally at any level.

@kennykdesign @mickeykoke what global hedge fund owns the Pirates??? Also what does the owner dying have to do with a tv deal? The owner doesn’t do those deals. They have executive leadership to do that. The job of running the team doesn’t die when an owner does.

@fthill394 @ChefPreller @DevineGospel It’s the years of control for Kjerstad that are expensive. Only 1 year of Cease plus offloading Suarez contract help the Padres bank account tremendously.

@kennykdesign @mickeykoke Why haven’t they put a tv deal together? Geez, the Marlins have a deal. The Pirates have a deal. Each brought in around $50M a year. There’s no outlet in the US that would want to pick up the broadcast rights of one of the games more exciting teams?

@notgaetti While we are on third basemen, let’s give some love to Ron Cey. There was a 4-5 year stretch where he was probably #2 to Schmidt in the NL. Throw the penguin a bone.
