Narcissistic and painful to read. I had to write a letter when younger because my family was aggressively trying to "un-gay" me for several years. Would that our greatest dispute was over politics. Feels a whole generation has no idea what actual discrimination looks like.

I'm gay and I completely agree with Paul. In fact, I exhibited this exact behavior as a child and all it meant was that I am gay, nothing more. I would have been completely psychologically damaged and confused, and maybe even physically harmed, in the modern atmosphere.
