It's a privilege to be awarded a CBE. I'm a bit embarrassed as it's an honour itself to have the opportunity to serve. Thanks so much to everyone I've worked with.
Thanks too for all the kind words and good wishes.
Misogyny as a hate crime? The campaign started here in Nottinghamshire led by incredibly strong women . Delighted to support them and today looks like the Government has come on board
We are on the move against the toxic attitudes against women. Not complacent more to do.
Congratulations to
@ClaireWard4EM
on her selection as Labour’s candidate to be East Midlands Mayor.
I want to thank everyone who voted for me and supported my campaign. I have been overwhelmed by the support I’ve received from everyone.

That’s what I’ve done throughout my life.

I look forward to seeing more Labour MPs elected to deliver change for our country.
Another big turnout on our street for NHS workers, carers,the police and public sector workers. My neighbours come from different countries.,religions and beliefs but we all know the importance of respecting and valuing each other. It's only together we can do it

New end of financial year figures show crime down 21%in Nottinghamshire. Over 21000 less offences reported. Probably biggest fall nationally. Thanks to everyone who made it happen
Devastating news from Nottingham city this morning.
My thoughts are with those killed, their family and friends, and everyone else affected.
Thank you to our emergency services and key workers for their response to help those in need.
We must beat Ben Bradley and the Tories which is why I will be out there on the doors to make sure Claire is elected.
Our region has been neglected by the Tories and we must do everything we can to stop them winning.

Discussion with Home Office Ministers about knife crime funding. Going to be a tough fight to get a big share of £100m for Notts and the East Midlands. Making progress though.
At times of uncertainty, it's experience that counts.
Experience of delivering in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Experience of putting Labour values into action.
With your help - we can win again.

Delighted to support 40 local voluntary organisations with 450 thousand pounds from the Community Safety Fund. Tackling domestic and sexual violence, fighting knife and hate crime is a task for all of us not just the police.
Two months today, buses in GM start to go back under public control and the cost of combined bus and tram travel will be cut by 20%.
24 September should signal the beginning of a public transport revolution across not just GM but the whole of England.
#BeeNetwork
We are one of the most disconnected regions and I want to change that.
Public transport should be owned and delivered by the public, meeting local needs.

Kim will be a fantastic Mayor of the North East and I hope, with your support, I can join her to make a difference - as we did as police and crime commissioners.
This has been an important and powerful day in Nottingham, There's been an excellent spirit of cooperation and responsibility. Together we can challenge and overwhelm the virus of racism. Thanks to all involved in different ways.
Thanks to the organisers of today’s event & those who attended - all trying to stay safe whilst exercising their right to protest peacefully. Thanks also to
@nottspolice
&
@PaddyTipping
for constructive approach to policing this event.
I'm tired of Ben Bradley and the Tories selling our region short.
They delay vital infrastructure projects and investment – our people deserve better.
Things can change with me and Labour 👉
New Memorial dedicated today outside Workdop Library in memory of PC Christopher McDonald who was murdered 43 years ago today doing his duty. The annual Police Cadet of the Year Award is now named after him. Young people are our future.
Great to be in Kimberley discussing how the tram network can be extended with four new Councillors. Integrated, sustainable and affordable transport has got to be a top priority.
For me, it's always been Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
I've got a track record of delivering for our communities with people like my friend,

Thanks Lilian for your support
Notts MPs had a useful meeting with PCC
@PaddyTipping
and
@nottspolice
Chief Constable Craig Guildford. More to do, but crime statistics in Notts are going in the right direction. Police numbers going up but still well below 2010 staffing levels.
Congratulations to
@NottsHealthcare
for adopting Real Living Wage from January 1st. An hourly rate of £10.90 will make a difference. A big and important difference would be for the Government to come to the table and negotiate with NHS colleagues.
Anyone who uses our railways can tell you they're in a sorry state.

The Chief Constable and myself deplore the brutal and tragic attacks that have taken place at Mosques in New Zealand. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. Every step is being taken to ensure safety in Nottinghamshire
Just written with colleagues to the Home Secretary asking her to help sort out PPE for police officers and staff. It's been to long and the advice given has been inconsistent
Great to celebrate the valuable work of Nottinghamshire Blood Bikers this evening. Their volunteers make a real difference in deliveries to the NHS. A big thank you.
It was an honour to be with Labour friends last night to pay tribute to an incredible woman in Dame Margaret Beckett.

Amanda Pritchard, NHS Chief Executive, praises ambulance staff and emergency workers for their prompt and professional response to yesterday's tragic events in Nottingham. A big thank you.
Ben Bradley won't talk about the Tory failure on rail in our region - he's been part of it.
⚡ Where is Midland Mainline electrification?
🐏 Why is Derby not Great British Railways HQ yet?
It's time for local people to have control over the future of our railway.
Today's funding announcement means we will recruit an extra 107 police officers before the end of March. The majority will be proactive neighbourhood officers. Great news!
Policing the pandemic must be difficult. But last night
@nottspolice
did it the right way. Yes, the vigil was not allowed, but they accepted it was going to happen anyway and responded proportionately. 👏
Great atmosphere and celebration of Windrush Generation in Nottingham tonight but we must criticise those who advocated a hostile environment, hired van's messaging go home and failing to implement Wendy Williams recommendations. We need to build bridges not barriers.
