An Garda Siochana are investigating a vicious beating handed out by fifteen Irish men in green shirts and white shorts. The victims believed to be Italian were wearing blue shirts and white shorts. We don't condone such behaviour but congratulations Ireland
A multi agency incident is under way at Greenvale Hotel, Cookstown. ACC Mark Hamilton said: “I can confirm there are 2 fatalities at this stage and a small no of other casualties. Parents are asked to collect children from Family and Friends reception at Glenavon Hotel.”
Items seized following a search at a property in Bellaghy earlier today by detectives from Organised Crime Branch investigating drug importation offences. Items included a starting pistol, around £10,000 cash and a jacket with Garda printed on it.
Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing 14 year old Oliwia Mazgieko.
She was last seen in the Cloneen area of Dungannon in the early hours of this morning.
Police are asking Oliwia, or anyone who may have information on her whereabouts, to ring 101.

PSNI Terrorism Investigation Unit detectives investigating criminality linked to the New IRA have today seized a substantial sum of cash during searches in County Tyrone. The cash was found concealed in a recycling bin and in a safe.
Our detectives have charged a 16-year-old girl with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

PUPDATE! The rehoming of our seized dogs and puppies has started. MUDC are liaising with rehoming charities to ensure they find loving homes. Sadly we lost two of the pups to Parvovirus but due to our intervention the others should go on now and lead healthy, happy lives.

Police have seized suspected Class B drugs with an estimated street value of £210,000 following the discovery of a cannabis factory in Moy. A 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of several offences.

Detectives from our Major Investigation Team, investigating the circumstances of the death of a two-year-old girl on Friday, 6 August, have been granted a court extension for an additional 36 hours to question a 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder.
The Dungannon Road, Cookstown is closed between Killycolp Road and Sherrigrim Road due to a serious road traffic collision. This closure is likely to remain in place for some time and motorists should avoid the area.
We can confirm that two of the three people who died in a Cookstown collision were Patrick Rogers (26) and his mother-in-law Mary Duffy (52). A third person, a woman aged 80 also died. Mr Rogers’ wife and their four children were injured.

Police stopped a car on the Brackaville Road, Coalisland, this afternoon. The vehicle was found to be in a dangerous condition, it was driven without a licence or insurance, and the driver was found to have drugs on them. I would encourage anyone to report unroadworthy vehicles.
Magherafelt Neighbourhood team out on patrol on new E bikes on Saturday in an effort to reduce Anti Social behaviour in Magherafelt town.
Such bikes allow officers to cover a greater area in much a quicker time and engage with more of the public.

A 42 year old man arrested after two men were injured during a stabbing at a GAA match in Cookstown last night, has been released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.
Yesterday thanks to information confidentially supplied by members of the public a quantity of Class A and Class B drugs in addition to cash was seized by Magherafelt Neighbourhood officers conducting a search in Magherafelt town centre. Two males as a result were arrested.
We have arrested five men following the discovery of a large cannabis farm in the Cookstown area. They remain in custody at this time, assisting with our enquiries. Read more here:

Two drink driving arrests enroute to custody suites right now. One was arrested following a collision, the other was detected by officers on patrol.
Sad but this is a daily occurrence. Drink driving needs to stop.
Observant officers from Mid Ulster police stopped a suspected drink driver in The Square, Coalisland this evening. Driver was arrested for drink driving and other motoring offences. Anyone local will know how busy The Square can be at tea time. This could have ended in tragedy.
So this is the scene currently on the Glenshane pass please turn your lights on, slow down and leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front. With more snow forecast please don’t be caught out thinking sure it’s only on the hills the temperature is dropping.

Neighbourhood officers on patrol on the Washingbay Road, Clonoe, tonight recovered 50 tyres which we suspect were destined for a Halloween bonfire. Environmental and health damage prevented. It is a timely reminder for parents to know where their kids are, and to keep them safe.

The M1 outside Dungannon between junctions 14 and 15, Belfast bound, is currently closed today until 12pm. Police, alongside partner agencies, are conducting further testing regarding fatal road traffic collisions.
A Confiscation Order has been granted against a 28-year-old Cookstown man at Dungannon Crown Court on Tuesday, 16th May. He has been ordered to pay £152,673.45 in favour of the Police Service of Northern Ireland as a result of the proceeds of crime investigation.
Police can confirm that the man who died in a collision on the Blackpark Road in Toomebridge this morning, Thursday 17 August, was 26 year old Ciaran Hurl. Read more here:
