The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm that Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell was discharged from hospital today, Thursday April 20th, to continue his recovery. We would ask that John and his family are given privacy at this time.
11 years ago our colleague, Ronan Kerr, was murdered as he left home to go to work. He was from this District & joined the Police to serve his community. Despicably he was killed because he was a police officer serving his community. Our thoughts are with Ronan’s family today.
Mid Tyrone NPT presented Daithi Nugent with a District Commanders Commendation today. Daithi received this Certificate of Recognition for bravery and quick thinking on 14/09/21 when he alerted his mum to flames coming from the tumble dryer. A True Hero!

Our detectives have arrested two men this morning in relation to the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell. They have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning, and remain in custody at this time.

Obviously my post earlier didn't make a difference. Almost a 100 young people were moved on from Muckross a short time ago and this was the rubbish left. It took 4 officers 30mins to tidy up the mess. None of the young people were from Fermanagh!

Earlier this evening Graphites Tactical Support Group and Roads Policing Interceptors Omagh attended McClintock Primary School, Seskinore for their summer fete. The children enjoyed seeing around the Police vehicles and seeing some equipment that we use.

Our detectives investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell in February 2023 have arrested three men aged 32, 48 and 49 in Belfast today.
We have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with animal cruelty. Today’s arrest is in relation to a possible link with badger baiting and persecution of other animals under the Welfare of Animals Act.

Police have tonight arrested Duane Farry who absconded from police custody in Enniskillen. Following a comprehensive police operation, the 34-year-old was arrested in the Coalisland area and is back in police custody.

South Area Burglary Team patrolled the Fermanagh and Omagh areas last night.
One driver was arrested for drink-driving after picking up his take-away; his uninsured car was seized.
Another driver, who decided to fill up on red diesel right in front of us, had his car seized.
Our detectives have charged a man to court following the seizure of herbal cannabis from a car with an estimated street value of £150,000 in Omagh on Wednesday, 5th July.

Our officers in Fermanagh have arrested and charged a 47-year-old man with a number of offences including non-fatal strangulation against a 45-year-old woman.
