Hugely emotional day. Walking from The Jubilee Ground to @StDunstanColl I saw a gentleman at the bus stop. Our eyes locked. I then recognised that it was my old Head Master from @Forest_HillSch Mr Agnew. I could not stop hugging the man. I left in 1991 and he recognised me. ❤️❤️.

We agreed that the most important quality of a coach in youth football is caring about the players that you work with. Once you have identified those precious individuals then invest in them. Support them in the process of gaining the coaching qualifications, DBS etc.

So privileged to be able to work in Academy football and also volunteer at a Grassroots Club. I enjoy and learn so much in both environments. Attended a Welfare Officer Workshop yesterday evening and one of the topics that came up was the problem of recruiting good coaches.
