Arresting Legal Observers is disgraceful. Legal Observers help make sure the people's right to protest is respected, and the police act within the law.

The vigil report is worth reading in full because the picture is not as clear as this headline. A big question which has hung over the police response has been if they got the law right or wrong. This review concluded they got it *wrong*. (thread) https://t.co/cOPpwHGB8X

Just been shared this from another student. Officers enter wrong flat and physically assault / choke student when he asks officer to provide their ID number. @SussexUni this is what happens when you invite police onto campus. This is why we strike. #sussexrentstrike

https://t.co/HAHIIeK7l2 I think that we have a Police complaints system as broken as Mr Colaco’s window was, if the IOPC response to a Police Force wrongly exonerating themselves, is just to give that Force the opportunity to exonerate themselves in different words ...”

Police assaulted me at the Bristol protest even though I told them I was from the press. I was respectfully observing what was happening and posed no threat to any of the officers. I have muted the latter part of the video to spare you all the pain of hearing my shrill voice.

We are right to be concerned about the quality of the Police vetting & management process if they are recruiting individuals like PC Dhallu and letting them have access to vulnerable children and domestic violence victims.” https://t.co/xrCjisWXbU via @MailOnline
