operation. Over the years we’ve had many ups and downs on this route, but it was our first ever proper bus route so we’re sad to see it go!

It is very poor in 2023 that Google Maps doesn't update bus timetable information until several days after a service change. This risks seriously undermining passenger confidence in what is, 99% of the time, an amazingly useful resource. Any tips for fixing this issue welcomed!

for awarding a 15 year contract with an 18 month mobilisation period - these are the kind of contracts the bus industry needs for operators to invest and deliver excellence.
Go-Ahead has won a 15-year deal to run Kent’s Fastrack bus network which carries 2.5 million passengers annually on dedicated busways in the Dartford, Ebbfleet and Gravesham area.

We need to challenge TOCs who use a shortage of bus drivers as an excuse for failure to recruit sufficient replacement buses. TOCs who engage with suppliers & pay fair rates don’t struggle to source buses. TOCs who still try and pay 2015 rates in 2023 will continue to struggle…

One thing I often say is the general public don’t know quite how many pairs of hands have been involved in getting their bus to them on time (or at all!). Tweets like this really highlight that & show just how committed to service delivery staff are at all levels of the industry.

Just as it should be! Publicity in many different forms is vital to a successful bus operation, this includes printed material! Getting it onto every bus takes a little bit of focus from depot management but it’s essential to ensure access to information is available to all 👍
Here to still take printed timetables seriously - when we ask our customers they still want it, so that’s what they get, along with a commitment to supply on board each bus too.
