This injured great horned owl found in La Habra Heights luckily received some TLC from Deputy Chief Ranger Kenn Hughes on Monday. The little guy was carefully scooped up and taken to a licensed wildlife animal hospital.

We just can't get enough of Jim McNamara's stunning photos taken recently on a bird walk hosted by the Whittier Area Audubon in Sycamore Canyon. I mean, look how gorgeous! 😍 Sound on🔉 for bird sounds!

It's 2025! Let's spread our wings like this red-tailed hawk & pursue our goals for the new year! We have several, but one of our focuses remains to ensure fuel clearance around the Preserve to protect our native habitat & nearby homes. What are your goals for the new year?
