The surgery was a huge success according to my cardiologist and the surgeon himself. It went even better than they had anticipated. The pressures in my heart and the gradient are nearly normal! My heart went from functioning around 20% prior to about 80-90% now

I am alive. This has been the hardest past few days of my life. The pain is crazy and the situation was worse than they thought and they had to replace more then anticipated but the surgeon clutched up and got the job done

July 29th will be my next and hopefully last open heart surgery. It’s been a long journey but hopefully once I recover I’ll finally be able to live life again and the world will be back to normal too. This has been a struggle but the light at the end of the tunnel is close!

It’s just that it was a loss. It was that it was RETROACTIVE and not given in top 4. The person he defeated in top 8 is now in the finals of worlds despite actually losing already. It changes the whole dynamic of how the top 8 played out

Open heart Surgery is Tuesday. This will probably be the most difficult one so far. I’m very anxious but also excited to finally feel better and get rid of this endocarditis. I’m not afraid of dying or anything crazy but I really hope I have minimal complications

Times are rough but we still gotta get up, get dressed, go for a walk, and maintain our sanity. I have been focusing on weight loss, cooking, etc. as I go through transplant evaluation and this is an opportunity to further expand my knowledge. So far I’m down 50Ib since August 😤

Surgery did not go as planned. I have a heart infection and am being admitted for some time to go on antibiotics and then take it from there. I’ll probably end up needing to get open heart surgery after the infection is cleared up but we don’t know much at the moment.

I still love hearthstone and I think the devs are knocking it out of the park. The game is in a really good spot right now metagame wise. It’s the competitive scene that’s a mess. Hopefully season 2 will come with a plethora of changes and the new set makes the game even more fun

Today marks the 3rd week post surgery. Just got done taking a 15 minute walk and I’m exhausted. But I am proud of myself for not making an excuse today. Everyone starts somewhere and today is where I start building up my strength to keep my heart in good condition 💪🏻🐼

Life update: Getting open heart surgery around March. Having complications that need to be fixed on the operating table. They aren’t sure what caused my issues other than I got unlucky 😪 Hopefully this will actually be the last time I get opened up for a while. I’m tired

Went to my PCP today and he said I looked amazing for less than 2 weeks out from open heart surgery! :D Getting to the car felt like a marathon and a half and I still can’t climb stairs unsupervised but slowly we are getting there :)
