@hangarhockey Nice picture of Chevy reviewing the “81-55 won’t work” tweets from yesteryear. And here I thought he was asleep at the cabin or whatever…

@204knowledge @HLLivingLoco Canadian kid that would fall into an extremely competitive Jets window. Worth the ask

@squpa_ @PegCityHockeyYT JK, based on current sample size. But JK also has the best partner by far in Dillon. Like, how does Pionk look without 54? That said, I'm not sure any of them amount to more than a 3rd pairing D long-term. So vilifying Chevy at this stage is a bit extreme. My point all along

@HLLivingLoco @NikLynam @peytonbueckert @PegCityHockeyYT If they make upgrades that bump a Gustafsson, Kupari, Barron or even Appleton out of the lineup, you'd like to think pulling 64 easy-peasy. But that's been a head scratcher all year

@peytonbueckert @PegCityHockeyYT JK has been good, but has declined as games pick up in second half. Thinking back, Stanley showed fairly well vs MTL in limited playoff reps, something the others didn't have on their resume at decision time. Probably factored into things. Still, none of them hard to replace

@peytonbueckert @PegCityHockeyYT They do blow Stanley out of the water. But do they blow other 3rd pairing NHL defensemen out of the water? Ones with playoff records that can easily be had at the deadline? Upgrade coming. Jets rolled the dice, hasn't worked out. It happens

@NikLynam Can’t have DeMelo, Pionk, and Heinola on same D corps in postseason. Heinola may eventually be the best of the bunch, but even with Stanley’s ice time this season doubt we see his best years lining up with our core’s window. Better options at the deadline for right now imo

@JetsHubYT Need net front grit, 200 ft game, and solid playoff experience with any add otherwise why bother. Jets already have everything else

@NikLynam Def wouldn’t overpay. Interest here might signal the org comfortable w Lowry at 2C? 17 is a terrific playoff performer but not sure how I’d feel about that as the games wear on
