The composition of the dirt track translates to the most consistent and resilient racing surface, but can’t be used in the winter without compromising the clay pad. That’s another reason why the Tapeta is so important at the new Belmont Park.

In addition to modernized drainage and state of the art irrigation systems, both turf courses are significantly wider through the turns with additional running lanes compared with the previous versions.
